Moving Toward The
Promise
Galatians 3:8 is a phenomenal verse in scripture. “That
scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by
faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham,
“All nations will be blessed through you”. It is
amazing that God never reveals what He will take you
through, but He will reveal what He will take you to. In
other words He allows you to know the expected end
before you know the beginning. However, your experience
will start at the beginning.
The
beginning may be quite a distance from the end. There is
a gap between when the word is spoken and when the word
actually comes to pass. This is your development
process. This is when life takes a turn and you find
yourself going through tests and trials. These my
friends are what we call some dark days. Always remember
that God does His best work in the dark. Creation
happened in the dark. It is quite difficult to see in
the dark. However, just because you can’t see God, does
not mean that He is not in operation.
I am
sure that Abraham experienced some dark situations and
some dark days. He was not even given the geographic
location of his destination. He simply believed God and
scripture says he did not stagger at the promise. But,
because of the promise he kept moving. The promise he
was given was a light unto his pathway. The word of God
was powerful enough for Abraham to keep the faith and to
keep moving toward the promise.
We are
Abraham’s seed. We must believe that the promise God
gave to Abraham still holds true and speaks to us today.
…. “In thee shall all the nations of the earth be
blessed”. We have a responsibility to keep the faith and
to keep moving toward the promise. Keep the faith in
